Our friend has suffered from chronic passage of kidney stones for 25 years that required hospitalization and lithotripsy at times, and ongoing long term medication to control the two to three or more times per year passing of these stones. Unfortunately, the prolonged use of kidney stone medication contributed to the development of end stage liver disease. He is currently on the United Network for Organ Sharing's (UNOS) active recipient list awaiting a liver for transplantation. The expenses associated with the operation and recovery are only partially covered by insurance or are not covered at all. All funds raised from the event will be donated to his family. Your generosity will help ease the burden of their medical expenses.
